Pinkpop 2007
We woke up early to go to Landgraaf by train. At Pinkpop you have multiple stages. First we went to the wrong one as I didn’t know on which stage 30 Seconds To Mars would be playing. When we were on our way to go to the right stage a saw that FRS, the company I used to work for, was having a signing later that day. My former boss told me that I could stay backstage to take photos. I thanked him and went on. There were already a lot of people standing at that stage, but I managed to get me and my sister front row. I taped the whole concert, while my sister took photos.
The guys had only half an hour, which meant they could only play the best known songs like: Attack, Battle of One, From Yesterday, The Kill and Beautiful Lie. Jared made a mistake of calling Denmark our country. I guess he didn’t know that Europe were multiple countries.
He also jumped in the crowed on both sides of the stage. I had to hold on to his leg, cause people behind me were trying to pull him off the barrier. When he jumped back on stage he almost fell as it was raining that day. He ended the concert with “The Believer” which I hadn’t heard live myself yet.
After the concert we looked for 30 merchandise, but we couldn’t find anything. So, we headed over to the FRS stand.
We were waiting outside when Chris went to get them for the signing. When they arrived I took a few photos, but didn’t bother asking to sign stuff. They welcomed us, but went straight for the signing. We waited a while and the ended the signing early, cause it was out of control. Tomo and Shannon came back first. They took the time to take photos with us. This was also the day that I decided that Shannon was my favorite member. They went on to the van.
Jared came out and he took my sisters camera out of her hand, which was still attached to her neck as well. At that point I new I made the right choice choosing Shannon. Jared took a few photos with us and left. Jared was acting really weird.
Linkin park was at the same festival as well. So, we waited till they came on. They were almost last, so, waiting for it looked like it took forever.
Finally, it was time for Linkin Park. They played some old stuff and new stuff from the album “Minutes to Midnight”. I didn’t have a good view, but hearing them sign live was good enough for me. I waited for years to finally see them perform.
After Linkin Park we were dead tired and we went home. It was almost 4 am when we arrived and I was glad that I didn’t have to work the next day.
